Environmental Systems

The international military operations have resulted in changed demands for deployment. Mobility and flexibility has become even more important than it was before, and the equipment must be increasingly independent of surrounding infrastructure.

The rationale is that the areas, in which the international military operations take place today and in the future, will be characterised by a general collapse on the existing infrastructure, or infrastructure has never existed. The environmental regulations in such areas are likely to be non-existent, but the military forces are likely to be compelled to conduct their operation according to internationally accepted standards; for example the Nato Standards and Allied Joint Papers.

This implies that the military installations must be self-reliant in handling their own waste.

Uniteam is currently developing a comprehensive concept for environmental management of military operations in areas without, or with unsatisfactory environmental infrastructure. The solution will consist of several components interconnected by a surface laid system of insulated and heated piping.
